This award acknowledges a Workforce Development Professional or partner who is a passionate provider of superb customer service, champion for partnership and collaboration, results-driven innovator or a standard-bearer for performance improvement, excellence and integrity.

Workforce Partner Award

The Department of Education is an active partner in the development of this year’s Workforce Professional Development Summit. The Workforce Partner Award recognizes their contribution to our industry.

This award nomination is your opportunity to highlight one of your strongest advocates from a WIOA required partner.

FWCA Lighthouse Award

The Florida Workforce Chairs Alliance (FWCA) Lighthouse Award was created with the purpose to recognize a workforce employee who works quietly behind the scenes; someone who anyone and everyone relies upon.

Recipients of this award serve as a beacon for their co-workers and do not necessarily work directly with the public — their coworkers may be their primary customers.

Who can submit a nomination: 24 Regional Workforce Boards

Who can be nominated: an employee of a Regional Workforce Board (or employee of a provider)

Workforce Professional Champion Award

The Workforce Professional Champion Award was established with the purpose of honoring those individuals on the frontline who demonstrate traits and characteristics worthy of emulation. Recipients of this award service as teachers, role models and confidante to their peers as we prepare the workforce of today for the economic structure of tomorrow. These individuals should be recognized for sharing their expertise and transferring their knowledge in a capacity that goes far beyond the standard expectations of the job.

Who can submit a nomination: all 24 Regional Workforce Boards must submit one nomination in recognition of your region’s champion. Florida Division of Blind Services and Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation may also submit one nominee each, for a total of 26 nominees.

Who can be nominated: an employee of a Regional Workforce Board, CareerSource Florida, Department of Economic Opportunity, Florida Division of Blind Services or the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
